From today, 2/11

We took a cute series of pictures today of Sage Aged 1 year and 2 days. She decided to be adorable, in spite of the fact that she has her first little ear infection just now.

Playing peek-a-boo:

Here she's looking out the window at the dogs:

Big Birthday!

Here are some pictures from Sage's first Birthday. She was a little sleepy (we found out the next day she was coming down with a cold), but she enjoyed herself all the same, and turned one in high style. Note her beautiful Mexican dress that Grandma and Grandaddy White brought her back from their anniversary trip!

Here she is enjoying the musical card from her Aunts Emma and Rachael. It played the song Celebrate, and was perhaps the biggest hit of the day!

Here's she's playing with a cool toy from her great aunt and uncle, Karen and Cliff.

And here she's enjoying some really cool blocks from Grandma Alice and Grandaddy Al.

Here I'm reading her a special little book from our friends Bill and Jen.
Here she is with her Birthday "cake." It was actually the old family banana bread recipe cleverly disguised as a cake. Mwa ha ha ha!
If she didn't make much of a mess with her "cake," she made up for it later that evening with her birthday spaghetti dinner!

New From Sage's Kitchen...

The finest in fusion cuisine:
The Pizza Quesadilla

Directions:
Spread a thinish layer of fancy marinara sauce (we prefer Hunts 4 cheese variety) on a whole wheat tortilla.
Sprinkle with cheese
Scatter on your favorite pizza toppings (we particularly like black olives).
Sprinkle with a little more cheese.
Top with another whole wheat tortilla.
Toast Quesadilla in a skillet over medium heat until cheese melts and tortilla is lightly browned, turning once.
Slice into wedges and let cool slightly while you help your little one settle into her highchair and pour beverages.
Enjoy your fancy fusion dish!

Sage. the resident food critic, gives this recipe her seal of approval!

Two if by sea

Here's a little video of Sage

A few updates

There isn't too much new going on at the moment, but cerain relatives have reminded me that It;s been too long since I've posted. :-) So here's what I can think of to tell you. Sage is walking better and better. She really never crawls in fact. Her favorite things right now are music, balls, and water (to drink and play in). She'll be one this Saturday, so we're looking forward to having just a few family members and friends over to celebrate.

Grandma J. came to visit a couple weeks ago. and we all thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her. Here are some very cute, slightly out-of-date pictures from that weekend courtesy of Sage's two grandmas (be assured that the fault for their lateness lies solely with mama).
